Default Dinner Last Night

Golden Beet and Celery Root Soup
Hungarian Cucumber and Celery Salad
Ribeye Steak
Baked Potatoes
Braised Kale with Caramelized Onions
Pear Clafoutis

I was happy with *everything*, which is a bit unusual. But the soup was
exceptional, and very simple:

1 celery root
3 medium-sized golden beets
water
salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon garbanzo flour

Peel vegetables and cut into small dice. (The smaller you cut them, the
faster they'll cook.) Put into a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil
and cook until the vegetables are fork-tender. Purée in a blender. (You can
use a stick blender, but I think a countertop blender gives a smoother
texture.) Mix sour cream and garbanzo flour together and stir into the soup.
Bring to a boil and add salt to taste.
