Traditional surf and turf: USDA Prime Chuck eye steaks and a couple
5oz slipper tails (bad lighting, but you get the idea). The tails
and steak almost make a heart-shape.

Breakfast was a scallion, fontina, and mizithra omelet with a years
ration of fried spam and a few chunks of codonopsis kimchi
('deodeok' in Korean).

Girard's Caesar and Champagne vinaigrette dressings. And then left
to marinate for 6 hours.

We had Singapore chile crab. One lucky Dungeness gave its life for
romance. For those of you who have never heard of this recipe, it is
crab cooked with a sweet chile, ketchup, and fish sauce mixture that is
thickened with cornstarch and egg. The whole process is like love--it
takes some work, someone gets hurt (in this case, the crab), it's messy,
your hands get sticky, but the final result is spectacular.
