Traditional surf and turf: USDA Prime Chuck eye steaks and a couple
5oz slipper tails (bad lighting, but you get the idea). The tails and steak almost make a heart-shape. http://i44.tinypic.com/2ln974g.jpg Breakfast was a scallion, fontina, and mizithra omelet with a years ration of fried spam and a few chunks of codonopsis kimchi ('deodeok' in Korean). http://i43.tinypic.com/142h8n5.jpg -sw |

For those of you who have never heard of this recipe, it is crab cooked with a sweet chile, ketchup, and fish sauce mixture that is thickened with cornstarch and egg. The whole process is like love--it takes some work, someone gets hurt (in this case, the crab), it's messy, your hands get sticky, but the final result is spectacular. Cindy, still smiling -- C.J.
