A couple times a month my grandmother feeds me chicken she gets already
cooked at the local grocery store. It makes my urine smell like I've been eating asparagus. Any idea why? Hamish |

Hi Hamish, I don't recall seeing you here before, so Welcome! Only thing that springs immediately to mind is that the chicken(s) in question may have been fed asparagus before slaughtering - but somehow I doubt it because: a) I keep a few chickens and they don't seem to like it c) It might work out a tad expensive - well it would here in South Africa - because asparagus ain't cheep. ;-) Hopefully you'll some more useful responses from others here <g> -- Cheers Chatty Cathy - who knows that was a weak pun, but it was all I could come up with on a Monday... |

One possible, the chickens are rice grain fed like was common in Hawaii when I lived there (1986-1989). Although there is nothing 'wrong' with such chicken, it smells terrible if you were not raised to expect that 'aroma'. |
