Otherwise post here and get my usual guarantee.

Is this related to that robbery attempt several

I was supposed to go to Oklahoma this afternoon but my visitee has taken
ill (had a stroke, a week after he got married) and is in the hospital.

So no, this is not about the attempted robbery. But to follow up on that
incident:

That guy got 8 months flat time (day for day - no early release) and is
out of prison already. The incident happened Oct '07 so he got out last
June or July.

I wrote several letters (including pictures and doctors reports) to the
judges and probation pre-sentencing reporter before his sentencing, and
even showed up for his plea date only to find out they brought him to
court two weeks earlier and offered him 8 months - wiothotu any
consultation with me. He was sentenced even before I wrote and personally
delivered the the letters. They didn't even bother to tell me until I
showed up in court on the appointed day.

I submitted about $500 in supposedly reimbursable receipts for doctors,
transportation, and lost/damaged property to the Attorney General's Victim
Fund and was reimbursed a whoppibng $14, which I took to Walmart and
bought something really cheap and disgusting. I forgot what it was, but I
know it would be lousy. That's why I bought it with that particular $14.
I even cashed the check at Walmart (cost me $.14, not $3).

The whole legal system is a joke from a victim's standpoint.

The second time it happened last August, the perps were never caught.

Again jerry reading you post as typed sounds like I'm drunk and I'm not even
drinking.

I'd feel bad for him except for the "newborn racist" comment. What would he
have done if it was a white guy? Oh wait, white guys don't do things like
that.

A "newborn" racist indeed.

Mexico. Heh. I don't even eat at Mexican restaurants in Texas.

I couldn't have lawfully used it in the first case. I already had
the guy, it was broad daylight, and the guy didn't actually get
anything - what he would have got would have been worth less than
$10.

The second robbery it would have been taken from me and used against
me and/or somebody else later on down the road. It happened to
quick.

I'm glad you're okay. I hope you meet some really great black people
soon, so you can find balance in your life again.

He said he was a born-again racist because of his experiences. Yeah,
I assumed. Fill in the blank with whichever race you have bad
feelings toward, Steve. And I hope you'll find your balance again.

What your saying is this Steve is your puppet and you changed his name to
Sam to pick on him. But the problem is that you keep screwing up and calling
him Steve when he is now Sam. Right

Oh about his exploits with women is that your fantasy or his?

It's times like this I'm glad I'm not this Steve person. I do enjoy it
when he he gets really mad and calls me Steve, though.

This "Steve" guy must have really put him through the ringer, chewd him
up, and spit him out on more than one occasion. He's made quote a lasting
dent in Jerry's very dense skull.

The worst racism I encountered was in my native Baltimore--which I consider
a northeastern city, Mason and Dixon aside. When I was in Texas I lived in
Houston, didn't notice it so much there.

Point is, to allow something like racism to grow from a bad incident with a
single person (or ten or one hundred people, for that matter) is sadder than
anything that might have happened in said incident. It is a choice, and a
malicious one. Assholes, thugs and thieves come in all colors, shapes and
sizes.

i have to say i agree with this, carol. the proper response is 'that man
is a robber,' not 'those people are robbers.'

This is one of those things that until it happens to you a few times
(along with the sheer brazenness of the incidents coupled with the
one-sided verbal exchanges), then maybe you don't have a clue WTF you're
talking about.

Do you also counsel rape victims, drug addicts, sexaholics, and
wife-beaters? (assuming you haven't experienced any of that either).

ObFood: Pork spread sandwich with roasted red bell peppers, lettuce, and
herbed goat cheese for breakfast.

I get my share of them on the bus, where they are loud, obnoxious, crude
and ignorant (and the homeless ones really stink). In the last 4 days in
3 separate incidents bus drivers have kicked off 7 of them, one of which
required police assistance making me late for an appointment.

And one was a lady with 2 kids under 7 years old, calling the bus driver
all sorts of names and yelling at another passenger for no reason, telling
him how she's going to "kick his mother-****ing ass".

Of course they're all just victims of oppression. I really feel for them.

ObFood: I'll browse the grocery store for lunch.

When Steve isn't being a genuine asshole, he's being a troll. Who can tell.
Who cares?
