I'm sure there are lots of recipes out there for making vermin edible but
I'm just as sure I'd not give them a try, either, given all the work
involved in cleaning and dressing such creatures. Might mount the head of
one for the garage wall but I'd let Nature clear the rest.

In lieu of reponding to every individual contributor to this thread, and
adding twice as much length, I want to thank all of you for your comments,
both positive and negative. It revealed a lot.

In every neighborhood, either where you live or in cyberspace, there are
usually some people we wish didn't live there. RFC is no exception. In
the neighborhoods we live in, we avoid those who are obnoxious, spiteful,
unbalanced, or those who we perceive dislike us for whatever reason.
Obviously, that should apply here, as well. Avoiding this in our
neighborhoods is often much easier than in a newsgroup. In both cases,
confrontation is seldom the solution.

Many have, at one time or another, said it takes a thick skin to survive in
a newsgroup. While there's no doubt about that, it also takes skill in the
use of filters and score files to make it a truly pleasant experience.

I have posted here and enjoyed this newsgroup for years, and I intend to
continue doing so. I'm sure that I'm a permanent resident in some kill
files, and frankly, I'm glad. Frankly, I wish I were in more of them. I
also know that others have alternatively put me in and taken me out of
their kill files. I'm not sure I really understand that, but it's
unimportant to me. I know that when someone joins others in my kill file,
they become permanent residents.

I know who my friends are here, and I'm pretty sure I know those who are
not. That's really all I need to know.

For those who objected to my sig, you'll notice that it's been permanently
replaced with one that seems especially fitting to this newgroup.

Thanks again, to all, and warm regards to my friends...

Wayne, I am your friend. You appear to be getting sensitive to posts
that you've endured a thousand times before. What's changed? A person
can't post to Usenet for many years without taking mental hits. And
yeah, it's worth it in any group I wish to post to.

Thank you, Leo. I consider you a friend, too. I think the Peter Lucas
fracas was the trigger, but I've gotten rid of all of that and more. Yes, it
is worth in it in this and any other group where I wish to post. Oddly
enough, the other groups I post in aren't as fraught with such mania. :-)

That was such a great answer to Leonard's very generous post. One of many
reasons I cannot stand you, Wayne.

Wayne could never compete will Jill. I don't get this thread but he's
far too nice to be compared to the witch.

Gotta luv the "fraught with such mania" part, lol...

Lil' Wayne is such a fussy old queen...he's been pursing his lips for so
long that he had an old lady's face by the age of twelve. I mean who would
go on about some gal wearing toreador pants and a low top in the grocery
store...
