Could people here refrain from posting to uk.food+drink.misc please?

uk.food+drink.misc is a _British_ group and posts from RFD, an American
group, aren't really welcome there.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Could people in uk.food+drink.misc please stop trolling RFC? While RFC isn't
an American group as Edith wrongly states, your posts are generally not up
to the standard we like to see.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I hate to break the news to you dearie but RFC is an international group
which is frequented by Brits. Could you please refrain from trolling RFC
right now, your uninvited, and unappreciated, intrusion is really not
welcome here.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

"Mike.. . ." is a heavy drinker (AKA ****head) and just goes off on one

My impression is that the people crossposting mostly aren't regulars
here. And may be as welcome in either group as the people who
crosspost to alt.atheism and alt.christian.

A, this isn't the group you're looking for. It's rec.food.COOKING, not
rec.food.DRINK. B, it's international, not American (or else it would
be called rec.food.cooking.americans-only. There are plenty of posters
from all over the world including the UK.

OH, I thought they were talking about Rural Free Delivery. Oh, well!
IMO - RFDrink would be a whole lot more interesting.

Until your group becomes monitored, I will post wherever I please. I have
found in the past that my infrequent posts in "your" group have been welcome
and I have gained knowledge there, as well as answered questions about
American cooking.

This poster has never posted to ukfd in the 10 years I have frequented it.
She or he is trying to anger people enough so that they bother to invade
that tiny group and destroy it. Last November the same attempt was made by
someone signed Pete.

You can be sure that "Edith" is some fifth grader that uses that tactic as a
masturbatory fantasy. After reading it, normal reaction is to post
something nasty or smart-assed and that is exactly what the kid on the other
end wants.

I agree completely, Ed. Edith drew a line in the sand and told people
they can't cross it. At the beach, the bully can enforce that by size,
weight and age. Here, they can't. It was a simple invitation to cause
trouble. I'm sure there are nice people on uk.fd.m, but I'm not very
interested. There are nice people on this group. It appeared to me,
though, that the people who were cross-posting a few months back, were
not nice people. I have a killfile entry here on rfc, so anything
crossposted to the other group doesn't appear. That works for me.

The same way that the people in rfc can stop the same trolls. We can't.

You can't stop them from doing so. However, some newsreaders will allow
you filter posts that are crossed to certain groups. I have such a
filter set up for that group, as I don't read it and most crosses are
trolling attempts. Cleans things up on this end quite a bit.

Yes they most certainly are! Our UK group has several US posters. They are
