Default Morning movie and breakfast?

"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" and fake scrambled eggs on toast.

Much better than what? I did think that was a very good
book adaptation. And I sure did enjoy that book.

Breakfast, a half Texas Rio grapefruit, after I'm done with
coffee.

You started too early for me babe. ;-)
I have to do my chores first after getting home from work, including my
PT (physical therapy). I'm hungry but am screwing around reading the
list before getting my work done. <g>

I need to go do some cleaning and get the cooking for today started and
make myself some food. I've got some New York Strip thawed that I'll
electrogrill and serve with raw baby spinach.

But not until I do my Airrosti PT homework that the doc' assigned. <sigh>

My friggin' leg hurt when driving home this morning, so I cannot afford
to let up on the self-discipline.

I'm going to be doing a bunch of roasting for the week today. Some
chicken hindquarters and some turkey, along with a batch of carrots.

Meanwhile, I'm going to mix what is left in the 'frige with some
scrambled eggs and cheese for dad. There is some turkey bacon, steamed
broccoli and mushrooms with leeks.

I love leftover omelets!

Oh, and the movie is a new one I purchased this morning that I'll watch
while eating lunch. Odds are I'll not get around to Breakfast with all I
need to get done.

Movie is called "The Rock" starring Sean Connery.

Brekky was soooooo long ago. I guess it was another serving of my
way-too-sweet first attempt at a LC blueberry buckle. Plus
coffee, of course.

Jean B,

Late lunch was...

"Sixth Sense" and leftover Lloyd's bbq beef stirred in with TJ's instant
brown rice and peas.

Let's just call it "Dreaming Up Disaster III."

Now it's "Mystic Pizza." (first seen) no food.

A "true to life" funny/sad romance flick. Fun food premise too!

Lunch here was manchego, leek, and mushroom quiche--very good, and
I winged it, having forgotten where I got the basic idea from.
Herb tea. (I have to drink SOMETHING!)

Jean B,

Yes I do!

I haven't watched a made for TV series in 30 years! Food and history and
science programs being my favorite TV "crutch."

I DO listen to and play "louder-than-allowed-to" LOUD music!!! Gets the
mice and termites outside for a bit!

Admittedly, I AM a junkie for the 5 o'clock morning news!

Best,

Andy

Good grief, it's "Steel Magnolias" and garlic hummus on crispbread.

Geez I wish I could stick a sock in all of those hens mouths! Expecially
Olympia Dukakis! Well, wait... Dolly Parton, too! Well... NO... I was right
to begin with! All of 'em!

I'm sure I'll be apologetic by the end of the flick.

Netflix is nice, I have the subscription where I get one movie at a
time. When I mail it back, I get another movie in two days. You can
also watch movies online.

I've seen that, and Alex sent me a link for Mac's for Netflix.
The question I have tho' for the on line movies is, can you scene
select? I don't always watch a movie all in one sitting... especially
on weekends. I've been watching "The Rock" now for instance over the
past 40 hours or so!

I get sleepy and take naps.

It's great. It'll come back to where you stopped it last, even if you
watched it on a different computer.

I had ersatz bruschetta. There's a local bakery, Mancini's,
that makes the world's best Italian bread, at least IMO.
They recently started selling their own brand of bruschetta
sauces. They are tasty but to my mind putting some of this
sauce on a slice of bread is nothing like "real" bruschetta.
But it tastes good. More like French bread pizza but on slices
instead of a split loaf.

I took 4 thick slices of Mancini's bread and brushed them with
olive oil and lightly toasted them. Then I spooned on some of
the bruschetta sauce and sprinkled them with Parmesan cheese
and baked them for 10 minutes at 450F. The cheese browned nicely.
They were quite tasty. I accompanied them with a cherry Coke and
munched on them while watching tv shows I had taped during the
week. (I go to bed early so I tape the prime time shows I like and
then watch them on the weekend.)

So far, I have only watched movies on the big TV, I have not watched any
online. That is a good question, though.

When you watch netflix online you can pause but not specifically select
a scene. You need to remember where you paused it to go back.

When you watch netflix from the Roku box, when you pause it saves the
space so when you go back you have the option of watching from the
beginning or resuming your last session.

I haven't found that to be the case. It goes back to where I was before,
even if I watched it on another computer.

Huh, this is the first I've heard of a roku box. Must find out
more...

I'll be honest and say I assumed you had to remember where you paused
it. I knew you could not select a scene like you can with a DVD. I
usually watch things straight through so I hardly ever have to pause.
Nice feature.

The Roku lets you watch the online Netflix stuff on your tv. You will
have two queues - DVDs which are mailed to you and the Watch Now list
stuff you can watch on your computer -or tv if you have the Roku. It is
very cool especially for old tv shows and some not so old if you want to
catch up.

Thanks, I'm not the netflix watcher although I do watch a movie every
now and then (in terms of months)... so I put the information up on
hubby's preferred browser so he could read the page. He says he saved
it and will read up later.

I'm just thrilled that they read my mind and responded. LOL!
