I love fruit, but pears were never my favorite (maybe it was the pears my mother grew?). When this gift came in the mail, I was not excited about it, until my oldest son tempted me into tasting the pears. I am glad he did, they were wonderful. Becca |

In fact, I prefer fresh fruit to dried in all but two cases -- I dislike plums and papayas when they're fresh, but I like the dried fruits fine. Serene -- 42 Magazine, celebrating life with meaning. I've not had properly ripened papaya often, mainly on vacations in Hawaii. While it tastes pretty good for a change, I find the very sub-acid taste gets boring. -- James Silverton Potomac, Maryland Email, with obvious alterations: not.jim.silverton.at.verizon.not |

When we were in Hawaii with our grandson who was two years old at the time, we successfully substituted papaya for his beloved cantaloupe and he never noticed the difference.
