Well that settles it: my ichtheo-ethnomusicological future is doomed,
and da widdle fiddies done it.

Floundering like this has left me desolate. The scale of my depression
is unmatched. My gills are green. Somebody just finish me, please.
Or send over a sturgeon for the pain. There's a pike in my belly; my
heart is charred with shame.

But sometimes the dark mood shifts and I can't just carp about it all.
Rays of rage well up inside till I have to knock somebody off his
perch just for the halibut, coddammit.

Damn dem, damn dose fiddies. An damn da mama fiddy, too.

The fishes answered, with a grin,
'Why, what a temper you are in!'
I told them once, I told them twice:
They would not listen to advice.
I took a kettle large and new,
Fit for the deed I had to do.

Now we know where Dr. Seuss got his inspirations.
