Default Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee: Festive Fiesta

Sandra is letting her slow cooker do all the work. With
recipes for Queso Con Tequila, Mexajita Chicken, a dessert
from a Semi-Homemaker's Club member creamy, chocolaty Peanut
Butter Pie plus an Absolute Perfection cocktail.

Recipes in This Episode

* Absolute Perfection
* Mexajita Chicken
* Queso con Tequila
* Sauteed Onion and Pepper Garnish for Chicken
* Grilled Bread with Zesty Lime Butter
* Peanut Butter Pie - Semi-Homemaker Recipe

WHAT the hell is a travel crock pot, and who the hell would take one on
vacation for use in the hotel room? Moron.

After SLop removed the chicken from the pan of oil, I was half expecting
it to burst into flames by how loudly it continued to sizzle and pop as
she just left it sitting on the burner while working on something else.

Tequila Con Queso? Maybe it's because I once got sick off tequila, but
that sounds absolutely DISGUSTING! Then there's that sour cream that's
going to curdle/separate after being heated for several hours...

"It's like a dump and leave." No comment.

How quaint of SLop to refer to that boneless chicken breast meat as
"falling off the bone".

Apparently SLop refers to every liquid in canned food as "juice". I'm
curious' what do you all call it?

Oh how I laughed and laughed when SLop realized the load of french bread
was too big for the grill, so she chopped off the excess on one side and
discarded it instead of cutting the loaf in half, only to slice it into
smaller pieces after she fried it on the grill? Did I miss her dousing
the grill in oil?

This week's Fandra just happened to be named "Kimber". Hmmm. I swear
I've seen that Cool Whip pie recipe somewhere before, probably on a tub
of Cool Whip or a bar of Phili Cream Cheese... And for the trillionth
time, Cool Whip does NOT "deflate" if you stir it too much!

SLop claims she was only going to use the one flower arrangement for her
tablerape, but had to use the rest because she found on sale at the
craft store. Whut?

Lastly, the moron gave us instructions on how to email her tips and
such, but she gave an URL instead of an email address! In addition, she
screwed up the URL: "foodnetwork dot com _backslash_ semihomemade".
Further research indicates that using the correct URL does not provide
an email link to SLop.

Depends what the canned food is. If it's a fruit, I'd say
"juice". The only canned vegetables I use are tomatoes,
and I use "juice" for that, too, because it is. If I used
other canned vegetables, it would probably be "water".

For something like canned chilis, I might say "brine".

If it's tuna, I'd say "water", although lots of people would
say "oil", depending on what kind of tuna they buy.

If it's chicken or something, I'd say "yuck".

Depends what the canned food is. If it's a fruit, I'd say
"juice".

Actually, most fruit is canned in syrup.

If it's chicken or something, I'd say "yuck".

True, but I think the correct term is broth.

I heard it referred to as "au jus", but I am pretty sure that's
incorrect (Particuarly when used with chicken).

Uh, it's for taking to parties and pot-lucks and such, you whining
moron. Hotel rooms have coffee makers which can double as slow
cookers.

You're much more irritating than SL. Have you ever explained why
you're so obsessed with SL? Did she get a restraining order against
you and this is your way of getting even?
