Default Spring Forward thinking breakfast...

Penzey's Spring 2009 catalog arrived this week.

One of the featured recipes was their version of Apple Pancake.

Turned out to be very tasty, but I only had Granny Smith apples. Will
be using Gala next time.

Accompanied with scrambled eggs with fresh garlic chives and pimento!

Good on ya! I've been at fault with garlic at breakfast too.

Years ago, in Amsterdam, I was pleasantly surprised with a breakfast apple
pancake. It was more crepe like. It was extremely delicious. I remember it
like yesterday, in Concertgebouwplein, dining outside at a sidewalk table
with equally delicious coffee. Superb!!! I ate there for the rest of my
breakfasts.

My staple breakfast, there, is one or two salmon sandwiches from the stalls
on the bridges close to the train station.
And my best lunches were in an indian restaurant near the buddhist temple,
with theyr searing hot chicken vindallo.
