Man, I'M sad over this, and I live three time zones away! Sounds like
it will be harder to find less-than-mainstrean cookbooks now.

Reminds me of a similar cookbook shop in Chicago that was there when I
moved there. Alas, it was also gone a few years later.

Amazon is great, but it can't replace a gem like that.

I never knew the place. And I lived blocks away from the Beverly Center
before there was a Beverly center. Shame.

I'd almost be willing to wager Christine and Ginny have already made plane
reservations to buy up any remaining inventory. Could very well turn into
the feline fight of the century! PPV???

it's a shame that the bookstore is closing (any bookstore, really), but i
gotta say i like being able to get used cook- and other books used, cheap,
from amazon or abe's or alibris. granted, it's not the same when you know
the title you want as opposed to browsing, but still.
