So far . . . I posted in another thread that I'm smack dab in the
middle of downtown Fargo on the 5th floor but only 6 blocks from the
river. As long as the dike holds (raising dike - again - from 42 feet
to 43 feet. New (as of yesterday noon) crest expected Saturday - 41
feet. More snow/rain probable. I love North Dakota . . . really!
Lynn in Fargo
at least for today - I may pack my little bag and show up on Barb's
door ;-)

I have a bed available. Your pets will have to go elsewhere, however.
My nephew survived the 1997 flood. They were in Grand Forks and now
live in Thompson.

=================================

No pets and I'm teasing but you're a sweetie and I figured the food
would be good at your house! ;-)

Truly, I have at least 48 to 36 hours to figure out whom I can call.

HealthCare Accessories phoned me and asked if I was evacuating yet. I
said no - 5th floor and she said if I did to be sure to take my oxygen
concentrator my bi pap and my 02 tanks & gear. Hope they evacuate us
BEFORE the water shows up! That's way too much crap to fit in a
helicopter!

And I am sure she would take you in. Stay safe!

We are in the midst of a blizzard in Denver with reports of
8-16 inches depending on where you happen to be. So far we
have only ~6 inches in our neighborhood but predictions are
it will start snowing hard enough to dump 2 inches per hour
as it gets colder tonight. This is the same place that was
in the high 70s over the weekend.

The local mantra is "but we need the moisture!" which is
true. Denver gets an average 80 inches of snow each
winter. So far this year we have had 22" although the
mountains have had pretty good snow all winter. People
skiing next week on Spring Break will be very happy.

I'm very happy I don't have to drive in it.

Does it count that we're having extremely high winds and dust storms here
in Phoenix, and it is 82 degrees?
