I am going nowhere UNLESS they shut off the electricity in my (HUD handicapped accessible) building. Four tenants have evacuated of about forty. I have a contingency plan in case I need to get out. Carolyn (DD) is (finally) off work - at least for the next 12 hours. Rosewood's (nursing home) residents are all evacuated - to family, friends or other facilities. She MAY end up commuting to Valley City (50 miles one way) but she has a lot of "paid overtime" built up from working all these double shifts. Besides she's in the recommended evacuation area of Moorhead in a basement apartment! She made a mercy run to the store so I have bread, milk and dish soap . . . and a freezer full of food. Thousands of volunteers are still schlepping sandbags. Bless 'em all! Your prayers and good wishes are still welcome. Take of yourselves and those you love. Yours, Lynn (still) in Fargo |
