I reckon that processed agricultural products such as that don't pose
the same risk, huh?

As I recall, some time ago there was a discussion of
coffee cherries and another person and myself both
indicated we'd be interested in buying some, but
you said they could not be exported to the mainland
because of agricultural restrictions.

There appears to be a company in Hawaii doing
exactly that, though they are processing the cherries
into dried powders.

Have the ag laws changed? Maybe you can sell cherries,
dried cherries, or cherry preserves now?

I saw that ad today too. No the laws have not changed. I tried to
read more on their site to see if it was fresh coffee cherries but it
did not say. It was a carefully worded site with lots of
pseudo-science, in my not so humble opinion. So I would have to
[assume] that it is just as you say. Taking fresh coffee cherry and
drying them and then replacing the water. Bet the stuff will cost a
lot!

FYI, the address to write to is on the island of Kauai.

aloha,
