Default MILD GREEN CHILIES

MILD GREEN CHILIES: I've been hooked on these for 15 years, since I
lived in Texas.
They add a little boost of flavor to pasta sauces, salads, skillet
suppers. They're sold
whole and chopped in 4-ounce cans; when I can find chopped, I buy
them.

Do you have a sunny place to grow chilies? I started seedlings inside
this year, and they are thriving under my LED grow light panel. In
your zone, you'd need to buy bedding plants, or start your own
indoors. Frozen is SO much better than canned. You can freeze them
in 2L soda bottles inside a block of ice if you have a deep freeze.
My two for this year are Big Jim

* (that's every year, as it it the gold standard of chilies), and a
hybrid called Chichimeca. http://www.reimerseeds.com/chichimeca-hot-peppers..aspx

I planted two more raspberries this evening.

* Don't believe the no bite claim. I've had these get seriously hot
by September, especially if you let them ripen.
