Another menu from 30 years ago on board the S.S. Lurline on the crossing

Well, yeah... 30 years ago was 1959. Sorry if I didn't have the correct
year in the subject line

Oh, Jill.... <sigh>... Jill....

Even when it's pointed out, you remain oblivious. So to make it clear JUST
FOR YOU:

30 years ago was *1979*.
1959 was *50* years ago.

Should have said 50 years ago... time does fly when you were never on the
ship... I was born a year later. Just in case you wonder what may have gone
on in the stateroom

I'm betting you are doing a lot of "mental" traveling going thru all
that stuff!

My Uncle sent me a box of pictures after my Grandmother died.
Unfortunately, mom was gone too by the time he sent it, but at least
some of the pics had ID's written on the back. There are a LOT of pics
of mom and my Aunt Anne when they were younger in there, and pics of mom
in uniform when she was in the Air Force.

A very precious box. :-)

Yes, it is pretty cool.

Want to see a photo? http://www.ssmaritime.com/ellinis.htm

The Lurline was sold to Chandris (X) Lines in 1963, they founded
Celebrity Cruise Lines. After a fire in the 70's, the SS Lurline was
scrapped and turned into razor blades. :-(

No, it wasn't. It was turned into those cheap
socket wrench sets you buy at K-mart and Home Depot.
