I'd rather pick my own. |

In bad weather only regular customers got their orders. Others were told "sorry, can't do it today." One customer only called when she had no money. Small order of essentials and she would pay by check. The check would bounce and a week later I'd go get the cash. This happened abut once a month. I'm guessing the butcher had his thumb on the scale to cover the extra expense. |

I poked around on their site, but they didn't accept "southeast Michigan" as a search criteria. :-) It does appear that they are called: http://www.dominicks.com/IFL/Grocery/Store-Locator -- Dan Abel Petaluma, California USA "[Don't] assume that someone is "broken" just because they behave in ways you don't like or don't understand." --Miche |

We've mainly got Kroger here, with a couple of small regional chains (Busch's and Hiller's), Meijers, and one each Sav-a-Lot and Aldi (at least, I think the Aldi has opened). Plus Whole Paycheck, and a couple of similar local markets. Of course, the serious shoppers go to the People's Food Coop. Cindy |

Minimum order at my local Safeway when I checked some time ago was $150 (impractical for one person). I don't believe there's such a minimum at Giant although I don't think they'd be ecstatic about a quart of milk and a loaf of bread. I haven't used the service but it's reassuring to know it's there.
