Default How to Grill Cheese

[I accidentally posted this to rec.fun.condoms earlier by mistake]

We seem to have a glut of morons lately. I don't claim to be a
Usenet expert except on odd-numbered days, but I can't really tell
what the latest influx of morons all have in common (other than the
usual no-lives).

We have all sorts of trolls that love crossposting, people telling
us all sorts of brain-deadening odds and ends, and some really
bottom of the barrel questions and comebacks. And all the Dimitris
and Littleshoes that love encouraging them.

Has anybody figured out a pattern to any of this, other than RFC
loves to invite trolls, and that certain people are the first to
respond to it?

Imagine what will happen when Peter returns (I assume my filters
aren't *that* good - he is gone, isn't he?). I'm pretty sure that
day will mark the end of RFC as we knew it.

ObFood: Stouffers Stromboli ($2.39). Don't bother. I love
Stouffers, but this didn't make the grade.

The pattern is, you still need time away from Usenet.

I know it's over everywhere that matters. And has been for
over a week. Maybe a few people in CA are still celebrating, but
nobody in CA gives a shit about trolling Usenet.

For some, Spring Break is now. 'nuff said - but I'll say more. The
local university break was last week, public school break is this week
and catlick schools will take their break next week. That's the way
it is here. Other states and districts (obviously) have other
schedules.

You're beginning to pull dumbass stuff out of your ass like Sheldon, Steve.
I know people in college and in high school who are on spring break now. And
lots of teachers are.

Many years back, parents were very frustrated around here, because their
kids had different calendars. Maybe the high school kid watched their
sibling on some vacation days when the parents had to work. Well, if
the high school kid was in school and the younger sibling wasn't, that
didn't work. Family vacations were a problem when the kids had winter
or spring vacations at different times. So the county stepped in, got
all the districts together, and they agreed on a single calendar. But
the individual districts still sometimes changed their calendars, even
though they had agreed. The county had penalties, but they weren't
significant. Of course, the parents got all angry, but there wasn't
much to do except direct them to complain to the school board who
approved a change to the calendar that had already been agreed to.

So, no, it's not the same everywhere in the world, in the US, in
California, or within the counties in California.

Sorry, but your little link isn't the be all and end all. Our county
is on Spring Break NOW as are the local colleges and universities.
Albeit, I think it's awfully late for Spring Break, and certainly not
what I grew up with, but I think they are rolling it into the Easter
weekend.

Public schools in Massachusetts have a break beginning next week. (They
usually get a week in February and a week in April - some schools are
not getting their April break because of all the snow days )

Colleges are mostly done with springbreak.
Here at BC the kids get a very long weekend for Easter - today through
Monday. Classes are over for the semester on May 9th.

Brandeis - another local college - which is heavily Jewish - gets this
week off too -for Passover.

As I've already said, it's mostly over except for a few places (mostly
california). Of course a select few dumbasses will perk up and say "It's
not over here!". It's like everything on usenet. If you even hint at an
absolute statement, the 2% of exceptions will always bite while the other
98% remain quiet.

For all intents and purposes, IT'S OVER!

And FWIW, this has been going on since before Spring Break started.

It's like Peach Season in Fredericksburg, TX. And everywhere else
in the U.S. at the same moment.

OK?
