Default Baby Bowls/Plates

Over the years we've talked about china and crystal and how some people who
have it never use it except on holidays or special occasions. Totally
different subject this time How many of you had a special "baby bowl"?
If so, do you still have it? Was it passed down to a grandchild, neice,
nephew or someone else in the family?

I found my baby bowl in a cabinet last week. I had no idea my mother had
been lugging it around for decades. It's a 'Bunnykins' bowl. I can't find
the exact pattern anywhere online. In the middle at the bottom of the bowl
is a scene showing a family of bunnies watering a garden together. I
remember eating oatmeal from that bowl and looking forward to seeing the
bunnies

How about you? Got any baby bowls, plates, mugs or spoons floating around
out there?

I have two sets of matching baby plate and mug. One pictures a young boy
wearing a hunter's cap and holding a toy "cork pop" rifle. The other
features Dick Tracy. :-) I don't have any baby spoons, but I do have a
sterling silver "junior" place setting of knife, fork, and spoon, that
strongly resembles the Francis I pattern. It was given to me by my aunt.
I remember also having one of those divided double-walled china bowls where
you poured hot water into the hollow chamber to keep the food warm, but I
don't know what became of it. I can't remember what pattern was on it.

We still have our son's Bunnykins dishes. Don't ask me where they are,
but I know they are here somewhere. My wife would never allow them to
be thrown out or given away.

living in Italy. i remember using them once in a while as a toddler,

Passed on to the grands their mother's set -- a handmade (by a potter
friend) bunny dish and mug.

Kept as a treasure -- my grandmother's "porridge set", a white flower-shaped
bowl and a matching milk jug, of white china with gold trim, made in
England in the 1860's. It has a place of honor (or honour, I guess) on my
hutch.

We had one bowl and cutlery for the 4 of us. I don't know where it has
gotten to. We are talking decades ago! :-) I remember it was basically
cream coloured and my memory is telling me there were pastel letters and
pics on it.

Yep! Mine was a Flintstones set. I have a plate, bowl and cup. I also
have two sets that were my daughters. She had Winne the Pooh and the Little
Mermaid set, complete with fork and spoon.

Nope, but at least we can be thankful that your scheming ass didn't
breed...that way you can *keep* the cute bowl for *yourself*!

I had one. Dunno where it is now. Mum might still have it.

Agent Weasel still has hers, and sometimes eats her breakfast out of it.
She turns eleven in a few weeks.

She wasn't "lugging it around"... she was saving it for the grandbabies
she hoped to have.

I have my kids silver baby cups and some of their silver spoons and
forks. My daughter's was provided by the military company my husband was
with that year and it has her birthday written in "military" format
(day, month, year) which I thought was funny as some male soldier
probably was in charge of ordering the engraving.
The cups hang on the wall off a little peg shelf in the kitchen corner.

Maybe since it was your dish, she was waiting to use it or pass it on to
your kids? Moms can be sentimental that way.

Perhaps, Goomba. But she knew I never wanted to have children. I didn't
have that "ticking clock" thing going on. And she wasn't one of those
mothers who constantly asked, "When are you going to give me a grandchild?"
