![]() This is the first thing I made in my new countertop oven, convection oven, toaster, rotisserie, blah dee blah. This recipe was posted here a few days ago. While I was making it I questioned "where's the vanilla" or some kind of essence. I resisted the urge to tinker with the recipe and add something. It doesn't need it, it is delicious as is. I measured, sifted, added, mixed and poured. http://i43.tinypic.com/awyr1c.jpg I miss read the recipe and only mixed up half the almonds for the topping the recipe called for. It turned out great anyway. Please note the immaculately clean oven, for the first and last time. http://i42.tinypic.com/rjo6x2.jpg Stan mentioned that adding some blueberries would be nice also. I think some peaches would be good too. http://i43.tinypic.com/21kcgsk.jpg -- There is no love more sincere than the love of food George Bernard Shaw www.kokoscorner.typepad.com updated 04/10 |
