Default Say It Ain't So, FB!

Fatburger has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection <sniff!>
OTOH, I gotta admit, the chain seems to have gone downhill. Our
favorite FB has disappointed us the last couple of visits. Used to be
about the only chain hamburger I could stand. Dang!

And Tommy's on Beverly is the only decent Tommy's, IMHO, and it's a
fur piece from Orange County. Double dang!

To reply, replace "meatloaf" with "cox"

Terry,

Well, they're down but maybe not out.
I love Fatburger. I proudly wear the classic embroidered baseball cap!
I just dialed the Fatburger in Atlantic City. They're open for business. I
don't want to drive there and back just for a double Kingburger with
everything. ...or do I...?

Good ol' "Tomaine" Tommy's...
That is a great location. A great place to see and be seen any night of the
week! The double cheeseburger with everything was easily the messiest
burger on earth. We always ordered at the outside corner stand. The silly
debate still rages I'll bet. It'll be around forever. It's a Hollywood
institution.

I haven't eaten at either place in probably 10 years. At least I know what
I'm missing! [sigh]

Here in Austin, 5 new burger chains have set up shop here in the last 6
months.

Carl's Jr
P Terry's
Terra Burger
Mighty Fine Burgers
Five Guys

That's in addition to the 26 other places specializing in burgers. No
shortage of burgers here.

It's possible they could emerge stronger than ever.

Then problem with the Beverly & Rampart store (the original location)
depending on the time of the day you'll need to bring your bodyguard.

I grew up very close to there.

Silverlake.

there was a fatburger in monrovina in 2001-2003, it did not last
long. the burgers were marginal and the service very, very poor. a
small local chain moved in, t burgers, and the place has been doing
boom business ever since.

The only time I've been to Tommy's on Beverly, I brought my very own
lawyer (my boss) who would rather have a Tommy burger than a five
course meal at the Pacific Dining Car. Almost.
