![]() "New Ice Cream flavor In honor of the 44th President of the United States, Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream has introduced a new flavor; "Barocky Road". Barocky Road is a blend of half-vanilla, half-chocolate, and surrounded by nuts and flakes. The vanilla portion of the mix is not openly advertised and usually denied as an ingredient. The nuts and flakes are all very bitter and hard to swallow. The cost is $74,000.00 per person. When purchased it will be presented to you in a large beautiful cone, but then the ice cream is taken away and given to the person in line behind you. Thus, you are left with an empty wallet, holding an empty cone, with no hope of getting any ice cream . Cheney and his henchmen enriched themselves at our expense with the blessings of people who are still fighting WWII. There is nothing unAmerican about calling an unjust war unjust and waterboarding is still torture. Saddam was a bad man. No two ways about it, but he kept the balance in Iraq. His time was getting near and it would have come from the inside. Instead, we interfered with chicken hawks fanning the flames of ignorance about *who* was behind 9-11. -- I love cooking with wine. I never said Cheney was right, but I'm just not so sure Obama is going to be the saviour of our country. I have my doubts on some of the new administation policies and what the effect/results will be a year or five from now. Stopping waterboarding? Sure, good idea. Iraq? Never should have been there. Stem cell r4esearch? Go for it. But that has nothing to do with our tax policies and ACORN funding, TARP, and a stimulus pork package that puts us into debt for a long time. I'm skeptical and will continue to be for a long time as it is far to soon to say what is working and what is not. |

Billions of dollars in bailouts. Trillions of dollars in U.S. debt. And yet, for the first time in years, more Americans than not say the country is on the right track. In a sign that Barack Obama has inspired hopes for a brighter future in the first 100 days of his presidency, an Associated Press-GfK poll shows that 48 percent of Americans believe the United States is headed in the right direction ¡X compared with 44 percent who disagree. The "right direction" number is up 8 points since February and a remarkable 31 points since October, the month before Obama's election. [...] And yet, this is the first time since January 2004 than an AP survey found more "right direction" than "wrong direction" respondents. That fleeting 2004 burst of optimism came shortly after the capture of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. In recent years, the U.S. public has tended to be more pessimistic than optimistic about the nation's future. The exceptions lasted just a few months: the start of the Iraq war, the Sept. 11 attacks and late in the Clinton administration. <http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090423/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama100_days_ap_poll> your pal, blake |

I love all these new obama products. I got a couple of the chia-obama things and put them on the street easement. So far they're working great at keeping the dogs from ****ing on my flowers and hastas. I might order a few more to use as scarecrows in the garden. Lou |

Thing is, he does not appear to have any inner core beliefs or values... Because of that he's afraid to take any unpopular stands or make decisions that may well be unpopular... He's the perfect POTUS for our shallow and Twitter-engaged age... I like the guy, I want him to succeed, but it's like watching some reality teevee series about someone "playing" at being President... -- Best Greg |
