That's perfect. It's all that needs to be said, and no more.

I'm a donor as well. Although I can't imagine that much of anything
I've got being much use to anyone else ... unless they could
transplant my appetite into someone with anorexia.

I wasn't thinking about VA benefits. I just wanted to know if he was
symptom free all that time. I know someone who had a late stage of TB
in his teenage years. I know someone who has been symptom free (clear
lungs on an xray) for over 40 years and I was curious.

Sounds like he lived a good life. My next door neighbor had emphysema
and couldn't give up cigarettes even after he lost part of a lung. He
had to be on oxygen to stop smoking and he lived many years in that
state. His wife kept him alive. I'm not sure if it was a good thing
for him although it was for her. She's still devastated by his
passing.

No idea. My mother met him as a volunteer "at the San" in the
fifties, which is a long time after "the war", so recovery was very
slow. The treatments for TB weren't very effective in the forties.

It depends on the conditions. Moria's second husband was a crime
scene, so even though he'd signed a donor card, there was nothing
useful to harvest after the police had finished their investigation.

There are a lot of conditions where the body won't be discovered soon
enough for any organs to be recovered. The case that launched this
thread, and your presence among us, was one of these.

In my display, it is to the right of the spam picture. It should be
forced downwards enough to miss the picture and therefore be on the
left margin. I don't know enough HTML to force that and would
probably just insert carriage returns. (web publishers and word
processing people are allowed to shudder at the idea.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And Blinky's "noGG" logo at the bottom was poorly chosen. Instead of
a checkmark, it should have been a circumscribed red circle with
angled red bar. But it's too late to change that.

And, of course, I can't read that page without renewing my vehement
disapproval of his main point. People often have to use public
computers where they don't have the option of installing a proper
client. In such cases, there is no reason for them to avoid using a
web client. Calling them lamers and lusers never was helpful, even if
he DID have a point. But I realize I can't win this argument now.

That is exactly where it is on my screen.

Oh, I tend to have VA benefits on the brain at times. I come from an
area where TB was very common until 1960 or so, mostly but not all due
to dairy farming. I know several people who have been completely
healthy and symptom free snce the 1940s or 1950s. If you were in good
health and received decent treatment, it's not that uncommon to remain
healthy.

Working in Northern Ontario, I met dozens of people, some who had
quite advanced TB who were functioning completely normally.

For me, the spam paragraph is properly floated around the spam
picture.

Aingon or his minions have used paragraph markers (langle-p-rangle) to
force some seperation, which is what I would do. Old-fashioned breaks
(langle-b-r-rangle) have been deprecated, so we try to learn the new
habits.

For me, there is a break after the spam paragraph and then Aingon's
paragraph starts. Still floating around the spam. I think it should
be below the spam.

You must have a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry wide screen. For my 1280ish
screen, the spam paragraph has about 2x the column inches of the
photograph.

I see what you're saying. However, this is an artifact of the way
Blinky coded the page to adjust to different window sizes. CRs won't
really achieve the desired result.

Currently, the page is partitioned into three major divs. Your blurb
is embedded in the center div, but making a fourth div that fits below
the center div would address Greg's issue. A bit drastic, and the
paragraph commands seem to work for most people.

I thought that might be what you meant, but I was hoping it was some

I tried that, and still had the wrap issue. I moved the blurb to the
top of the right hand column, so now it appears on all pages of the
site. Opinions?
