You really should not post when drunk and/or on drugs - I think that
should be "you know how to snap off the stems of asparagus" instead of
what you wrote above.

Did you even read what was at the posted link? I think not as it is not
a cookbook or a blog.

It is not on foodtv or in any way related to foodtv.

I think "Kitty" is either Jill playing sockpuppet or one of Lucas's
entourage. Seems to me that it's a waste of bandwidth to engage in
conversation with him or her in either case.

Fat or skinny?

I thought pencil asparagus were best but the regular have more flavor.

I've always chosen the fat stalks and like them the best. It's interesting
that McGee says he had less issue with fiber in the fat stalks.

Janet,

I don't mind asparagus outer threads (softer after cooking) with a sharp
knife, any more than I mind raw outer celery threads. If that makes a lick
o' sense!

It's certainly idle speculation, and who really knows, but since
"Ailurophile" just means "cat lover", I suspect Cybercat. She has used
that server in the past. Then again, it could be Greg spoofing
Cybercat, but it just wasn't that kind of nasty.

frankly, i don't understand the willingness of people here to assume sock
puppetry. i think if cyber wanted to give jill a boatload of shit she
would do so directly. i agree that it's too subtle for morrow.

i think it's just from another county completely, who is struck by jill's
generosity and greatness of spirit.

And I am EVERYWHERE. The more socks people invent for me, the more heads I
know I am living in rent free. Dan and Bob are dim bulbs. Bulbous and dim. I
think it's funny.

Oh, jeez, blake, go AHEAD - throw a shoe at me, will ya...

;-D

Actually, I have strong suspicions that "ailurophile" is Sheryl Rosen aka
our beloved "catmandy"...it's a good bet that she lurks here - this
"persona" only shows up when we are slagging Jill, and Sheryl HATED Jill
most of all, hated her more than me even. Guess she hasn't yet snagged that
sexy third - tier team baseball stud yet, lol...

You are very kind but I have to say that I am not subtle. I just say what is
in my heart, and it makes my heart boil when I see people piling hurtful
things onto Jilly. Both her parents are dead and she had to move from
Memphis to live in that hate full house in low country. Her only boyfriend
dumped her and she had to clean up after a parrot. Jilly's life is TOUGH,
and the way people attack her here is like that lord of the flies thing only
with Frogmore Stew. Jilly is one tough pretty lady and I am sure she can
whether the storm but she should not have to endure the abuse she gets here
and in other places.

Thank you for your kindness.
