Thank you for the well wishing flowers, Sheldon. But more so for the
sharing of spots 'round your so well tended property. Do you have
(what used to be referred to as) children? If so, how far away from
your location are they?

Dammit, Sheldon -- every time I think I've had enough of you, you send
something nice like this. Maybe you are more in touch with your feminine
side than anyone else could know. ;-)

Thanks for that -- your trees are gorgeous.

At what age do they get to break free from their cages?

Prolly when the deer go off to play with the antelope and leave his
trees alone. Just a guess. Those are tall fences. :-0)

Those fence posts are only 4'... the wire is 4' but sits about a foot above
the posts so I have a one foot space to mow/weed underneath. The top of the
fence is only 5', and occasionally a deer will bend the fence in a bit to
nibble. Deer are not so small, they can easy nibble at 5' and when they
rear up a bit they can reach 7'-8'. I simply have to have patience, deer
stay about the same height, trees grow taller, slow but sure. In real life
deer don't play with antelope... all animals are racist.

I was going to ask why you wired in the fruit trees, but that picture
seems to make the question redundant.

You can always tell when there are deer around a property -- well, cows too.
Everything is pruned so neatly from the bottom. Thanks for the Mother's Day
wishes.

I don't see how this could possibly even begin to make up for his
past antics.

Maybe when he saves the life of a guy wearing a shirt, "100% Italian
and proud of it!" by admisitering CPR for 10 minutes, then maybe
I'll think twice.

I'm on 16 acres. It's a lot of work caring for it but I feel it's worth it
and helps keep me young in retirement. I know too many people who have
retired to a condo and most haven't lived very long or are wasting away from
inactivity. Glad you appreciate all my hard labor, thank you, Kimberly.

Keep us updated on all yer garden activity...I don't know about NY but here
in the Midwest it's been a cold and wet spring, we are about a good three -
four weeks behind in the planting season. Lotsa farmers have barely been
able to get out into their fields...

It's been an early spring here so the farmers are a bit ahead of schedual,
they even have corn planted already. And here I am watching my grass
growing taller and taller and no tractors delivered from being serviced
yet.... I'm gonna have to borrow a herd of sheep. I'm hoping they remember
that I want mulching blades.

I admire you for it! My dad recently retired and is looking for something to
keep him occupied. My brother and I thought it would be a good idea to get
him a journal and have him write all these stories he's told over the years.
It will give him something to do, yes, but it's going to be great for the
grandkids and their kids and so on! The world has changed a lot in not a lot
of years, I think.

Your property looks gorgeous, and I see you get a lot of visitors Do you
raise any animals or are they all drop-by's?
