My brother and I made brunch. He made omelettes, sausage, english muffins; I
made Eibrot, bacon, and prepared the berries (strawberries, blackberries,
and raspberries). We both worked on the hash browns, lol. It was delicious,
and my mom was happy to have everyone (Dad, 3 brothers, their
wives/girlfriend, myself, and all the kids) around her. My sister and
another brother in MN had an "Edible Arrangement" sent over...if you're not
familiar, it's a bunch of fresh fruit made to look like a flower bouquet. It
included cantaloupe, pineapple, honeydew, grapes, watermelon, and
strawberries (both chocolate covered and unadorned). It was yummy too!

My daughter painted me a beautiful watercolor as a gift, which I loved.

I forgot to mention the cream puffs! lol! My mom wanted cream puffs.
They're her favorite and she doesn't indulge often, so I wanted to make them
special. I made a vanilla bean custard and a meyer lemon curd with lemons
from my tree. Made the choux paste and piped them out, they puffed up
beautifully. After they were cooled and the custard and the curd were
chilled, I whipped up some whipping cream, which I then folded into the
custard and the lemon curd, and piped into the shells. Even did some of them
with both! I also melted some chocolate with a little cream and dipped
the tops of a couple. I'd like to say we had all this will power and waited
until after dinner to indulge. Yep, I'd like to say that....but I can't! ;-)

Thank you! They did come out great, thankfully! My daughter pronounced them
"better than Beard Papas!", which coming from her was quite a compliment
