Lemon sorbet (maybe sherbet) frozen and served from the lemon 'shell'
was one of my favorite parts of Cinque Terre. It was delicious.

Not in the kind of joints I frequent, but I wouldn't be surprised to see
something like that in a nice restaurant. Seeing it in the freezer at
Costco kind of amused me.

I don't know Cinque Terre, it sounds nice.

Located in (near?) Tuscany, Italy. Five little seaside villages.

That would explain why I hadn't heard of it. Sounds like it
must have been a wonderful place to have dinner.

My daughter-in-law spent quite a few years in Switzerland with her.
family due to her father's job. She claims Cinque Terre is her favorite
place in the world so far.

I've seen photos and it looks very romantic.

It's between Tuscany and Liguria, and in the Liguria part they produce
Sciacchetra', a wonderful sweet wine made from raisins. Heavenly place,
heavenly wine
