I would take a prybar to it, one of those thin ones you tap with a hammer, I bet it pops right off. If you can't remove the old glue or the counter is damaged then find a nice new board to place in the same spot, I probably wouldn't glue it down again, get a nice plastic one, they come in all sizes, configurations and pretty designer colors to match your decor... get two, one you don't use so it wont get cuts, to use for when company visits... that should suffice while you think about what you will ultimately do with that kitchen. Or if you place a drain board there it will cover any damage. |
