I listened for about an hour, and there was something about the music that
sounded different. It sounds like it's been 'tamed' for older ears. Or
maybe they only play stuff that sounds like that.

At 57, I still love my blaring guitars.

Oh, I hope not. I absolutely HATE that. I listened to a few
songs and was saturated then. I do have the station open
still--and I dragged the icon to my desktop, so I can access it
easily.

Late to the thread, but did anyone mention Pandora.com? I loaded it on
my computer at home, work at my iPhone. Fun!

Ah, these newfangled things - they can even pick up that I live in
Mexico - and Pandora is restricted from broadcasting there for some
reason.

I came across that several years ago and even tried to use a hide IP
program with no success.....but thanks for the thought, and I'll make
a note of it.

I liked pandora for a tiny while, but the music selections would
really stray from what I wanted.

The idea is to expose you to music you may not have heard before. You can
train the station by saying "I like (or don't like) this song."

I am too impatient for that. Ideally, I put together my own
idiosyncratic play lists.

What I don't like is that you can't let it alone. It turns itself off
after a while.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.

I don't remember if I ever got that far.
