Mice like avocados!
Mice like avocados!
One chewed through the netting and ate up a a large marble sized hunk of avocado. This was the second time in about five years. Why couldn't it walk onto the mousetrap that was right there?!? Maybe I should add a bit to the baitless trap. So I lost an avo. I put the others in the bread box drawer AFTER making a green death tuna salad sandwich with potato chips and a tall glass of ice cold milk. I will not be outdone by some slick country mouse!!! I have a friend who owns a house somewhere in California near some avocado groves. He says the rats in his neighborhood are fat and sleek. Walk them to the deli department's digital scale. I buy a sack of four so I can't weigh each separately . I've never had (I can't really remember) that problem. Best, Andy |

Or least ours did. But ours were hungry beasts and would devour an entire fish (except for the scales and fins). When I'd come back from fishing off the rocks I'd throw them one of the smaller fish I'd caught and later find them sitting on the lawn crunching away on what was left of the skull. Then they also liked mice ... and rats .... and rabbits ... and cheese. They were well fed, but not fat.
