So I'll just eat 33% more cut up carrots, if I'm that worried about
the alleged anti-cancer and other benefits! (Which I probably do
anyway!)

Interesting, but not surprising. While I love carrots in things like
say, stews and pot roasts, I get a pretty good carrot fix from the
little organic "bag o' baby carrots".

Between that and slices of Gala apples, I don't need chips or pretzels
anymore

That only applies to BOILED carrots. If you're pan-cooking them or steaming
them, there is no loss of nutrients into the cooking water.

Boiled carrots =YUK imo
only way I like them is baked or done with a honey glaze

About the only things I really boil are spuds and pumkin squashes etc
and that is before they turn into soups

Oh and of course chick peas and lupins for humous
