These Chinese posts can only continue if some from this group have
been buying from them.

THINK?? If they never made a sale in a year, would they be bothering
us?

I still see some of them and I've got what I think is every damn variation
possible of google.dot.(anything) in my killfiles.
And I doubt that they'd have any idea where their sales came from - it's
just a mad scramble to get their message out.

If I had known that, I would never have bought the powdered rhinceros-
penis per mail-order.
And the inflatable love-doll.
And the cheap viagra.
And the fake Rolex.

I'm so SORRY !
May the group forgive me.

Hmmmm.... the ultimate conclusion to that logic is that the Chinese posts
would never have started anywhere at anytime since no one had ever purchased
anything from them.

Wouldn't it be more likely that the Chinese posts are targeting areas where
there have been NO sales activity? After all, isn't one of the BIGG goals of
advertising to attract those who have never been customers? So I say that
the best way to discourage these chinese posts is for us to buy from them so
that they know they don't have to waste their efforts on existing customers?
Have you done your part yet by making a purchase?

I don't know yet. The manual is in Cantonese; so I'll have to wait
for the dictionaly from amazon.

"Viaglaspilin. Multi purpose dlug.".
Well, still no elections but my headache's gone.

You think they know or care? They prob. are able to hit all groups
with a push of a button. And I doubt they follow up for market
response.

It helps to begin by using a provider that filters most of them before you
even see them. I use free albasani.net, and they do a wonderful job

OE is not the best for filtering, and I don't know how it's rules are set
up, but I filter on 'china', 'Nike', and 'wholesale'. Almost all of those
spams will have one of those three words in it.

To killfile Google Groups (I don't in this group, but I do in others):

% generated by Xnews on Sat 26 Jan 2008 12:58:42p
Sco: -9999
Message-ID: googlegroups
Message-ID: webtv
User-Agent: G2/1.0

That will weed out most of the bottom feeders. If you know of GGers who you
don't want filtered, you can whitelist them, if OE supports that.
