Default First bag of summer squash on my porch

Yahoo what a great surprise... I know who put it there, but I'll keep her
secret. Tonight a simple stir fry of crookneck and scallop squash with
olive oil, garlic and onion.

That reminds me, I have those pattypan squash that were given to be at
work to cook. Might steam those for fathers day instead. I cannot buy
them around here so they area treat!

Forward a day, they worked well. I'll keep the seeds from the largest
ones and try planting them.

I don't understand why they are no longer sold around here. They are
divine!

If they're small, I like them raw with a little EVOO and Balsamico. Or
steamed - so they're still a bit crisp - with the same ... or a light
dressing I make with plain wasabi, yogurt, ketchup and lemon juice.

Speaking of scallops, we used to find bags of them at our back door
during the season when we lived on the beach. Never did find out who
left them ...

What a great idea. I just bought a great bottle of Balsamic vinegar while
on vacation.
