Oh, about 15 mins maybe. I live 4 flat miles from the Straubs.

Yup! And paper trays with little thin sheets of waxed paper or
something stuck to the meat directly to prevent air exposure, I think.

No, it's just a small soft-side cooler I've been using for years. I
won it at a raffle in about 1995ish, and it's been to the Indy 500
with me every year for 14 years now (damn! first time I counted!) as
well as to work with me many times. Fits nicely in my bicycle's saddle
basket too!

I don't know why John wasn't answering the question, but I's say about
1-1/4 to 1- 1/2 miles on mostly residential streets with no real
hills. Probably 10 minutes tops, store to door.

OK, you had answered, but there isn't any way that's 4 miles.
Google maps says 1.7 miles. They are very flat too. Heck, even I
could ride that in 15 minutes. I need to get new tires, but I'm
waiting for the church's garage sale. I might be able to pick up a
better bike for pretty cheap. I quit riding when they screwed up the
busses. Used to be ride 6 blocks to the bus, put the bike on the
cariier, then 1 block ride to work. No more. NOw it's be bus-train-
bus, so I drive the non-AC car.

I didn't understand the question.

I just plotted my route on a pedometer website, and it's 2.166 miles
once way. Of course we have to account for all the time I have to sit
at stupid stop lights!! ;-)

Gotcha. I envisioned a longer trip.

I have one I took fishing a few weeks ago. My beer was warm in an
hour. The next time I put the beer in the freezer for awhile and it
was much better. You gotta have cold beer for fishing.

I've done plenty of small boat fishing... best is a large inexpensive
styrofoam cooler with block ice... cubes are worthless... usta always have 2
quart cardboard containers filled with water in my freezer, four of those
blocks of ice would keep two cases of beer and lunches ice cold an entire
day. I still keep a couple of containers frozen in my freezer, in case of a
power failure will keep food from spoiling for three days, will keep food
frozen solid for a day and a half.. will give you plenty of time to get to a
commercial ice house to buy a block of dry ice... every town has an ice
house nearby, keep their address and phone number on your fridge door.

I have to drive an hour for major food shopping. I keep a couple of those
space age material insulated bags in my car and when I leave I put a couple
of those blue ice things inside... they'll keep ice cream frozen solid for
the hour trip home.
