Default Father's Day Gift

I bought my wife a bottle of Russell's Reserve, a 10 year old bourbon.

I presented it to her and she told me she drinks Scotch, not bourbon. I
have to drink it myself. Surely just a coincidence, but I happen to like
bourbon.

Thank you. It should get better later today. My daughter and granddaughter
that we've not seen in two years is on her way here, driving from Las Vegas.
She has about 300 miles to go.

A few weeks ago a neighbor came over with half a bottle of Knob Creek.
We had to finish the bottle and I've learned I too like bourbon. I
did make a late night dinner but I have to clue what it was.

I hope that you enjoy the Father's Day gift that you bought for your
wife :-)

My wife bought me a tart pan. What a coincidence. A few weeks ago she
made butter tarts and was complaining that the pans we had were too big
or two small and wanted something in between.

My son wanted to come down for Father's Day but his new restaurant just
opened up on Monday and he has been working 7 days a week for the last
month or so and has been putting in long days. The cooks and servers are
working out but he is having trouble with the assistant managers. So we
are headed into the city for lunch at his new place.

Snicker, Evil Ed!

I bought Don a generator. 3,500watt 6.5HP unit. Not planning to hook it to
the house power (not big enough really for that) but it will cover a few
essentials.

No! It was a gen-u-wine mistake on his part.

In a round-about way, those pans could be for you, assuming you
will greatly enjoy what is made in them!

Actually, I do most of the baking in this house. She has only made tarts
once or twice. So I will probably be getting more use out of them than
she will. I always find tarts fiddly to make, and she has a real
weakness for butter tarts. I just hope she enjoys getting a power tool
for Mothers Day :-)

I think they prefer a retro-fitted reciprocating saw. I'm sure you've
seen pictures. If he's going to get a drill I'd suggest one with the
hammer feature. 25,000 BPM should do the trick.

He'd get his ass kicked if he didnt IMMEDIATELY say it's so he can iron my
clothes better!

On the other hand, I really need a new sander. I'm droooling over the Bosch
Corner/Detail Orbital sander kit. Nodel 1294VSK. It's even got a quick
change lever! Drool Drool Drool. Snicker, Ed will understand!

Dear, some of us do! And for the intended purpose!

Last year for his birthday, I got Don a 50$ certificate for Home Depot, and
about 50$ worth of 'stuff' that was cool and saves him time.

Got 2. Most used is the Milwaukee Sawzall but we also have the simpler
10amp dewalt which is lighter and easier to use if it can carry the job off.

Note, straight answer to joke (grin).

Aha! Well then, this was more of a direct present to you than I
thought. (Boy, my age is showing, along with other things.)

Thanks. It was fun. We ended up eating at his restaurant instead of
getting him out of there. I thought that he might want to get away, but
he had to stick around. There are still ironing out problems. We had a
nice meal and a nice visit. The place is huge. I tried their wheat beer
and it was delicious.
