I guess I don't really have a #1 fav; sea scallops popped into my head right
after I hit Send after typing crab Of course, prime beef filet also
comes to mind

Right now I am trying to remember the best chocolate I ever tasted. One
of my clients was from Belgium, every time she visited her family, she
would bring me some chocolate. Some of that was probably the best
chocolate I ever tasted. We had a dinner party last weekend, and one of
my friends is going home to Belgium to visit her family, she is staying
for a month. I will have to ask her to bring me back some chocolate. :-P

After reading that, Sheldon's probably violating his chocolate donuts right

You do that!

The best chocolate I ever had was while I was in Brussels. Walking
around the shops, and they have a number that are devoted to just
sweets, I stopped in one, and realized about 30 minutes of heaven :-)

Maine. Tails preferably though I like the delicate claw meat too. Big
tails are kinda tough (maybe I cooked it too long it was 20+ oz.) 12
ouncers are terrific. I do like the big sweet tropical ones too. My
fantasy is they just keep bringing me: lobster tails, melted butter
and cut up lemons until I can no longer move. Then they wheel me out
on a gurney . . .

When I was a young married (early 60s), we would buy frozen "African
lobster tails" from a local restaurant's supplier, and they were the
best thing I've ever eaten. They were featured on every local fine
restaurant menu. Maine lobster is stringy and tough in comparison -
doesn't even come close.

I don't know if you can even find them any more.

You can get them, imported from South Africa I believe, but the era of
the good, inexpensive lobster tails ended when an eruption of the
volcano at Tristan da Cunha destroyed the fishery. In the late 50s and
early 60s, one of my favorite restaurant suppers was *two* broiled
lobster tais served with lemon, melted butter and french fries.

This is a toughie. As a recipe, I'd have to say choc. chip cookies.
As a single food, prob. strawberries.

Lasagna a close second in the recipe category. Or Maine lobster as a
second single food.

I love the old "surf and turf," filet mignon, loaded baked potato, and
lobster and lobster and lobster. A little steamed asparagus on the side
would be cool, too.

LOL. Must say that sort of thing never worked for me (vbg). If the SO of
the moment wasn't a good cook, a tutorial would ensue at a later date.

Agreed, mostly. Don't like sourdough with wine. Certainly don't care for
chocolate and red wine. That combo probably would have given me a
monster of a migraine back in the day anyway.
