Answering for my DH (who is sleeping after working much OT) ... Not yet!

I'm thinking that he's doing more OT lately because of the almost
six-year-old in the house! Dang, that girl has energy. ;-)

I'm sure the smoker will be put into use before too long.

So, how were the lamb shanks?

Christine - What smoker make and model?

I ask because some of them benefit from modifications before use, and if
I know of such for your model/make, I'd like to point them out before
you use them.

I have a small smoker in the garage in the box right now that I haven't
used yet as I want to make the mods, just haven't had th chance to buy
the supplies yet.

Thanks for elaborating as I won't have to worry about you now :-)

I know you are well on the way to a good BBQ fix.

You didn't have to worry about me in the first place. There are some
fantastic folks on this newsgroup that have much, much experience in
smoking, and in smokers.

One is Dave Bugg, another is TFM. They have both given me wonderful
advice and I respect it immensely. Dave had a bbq restaurant before
he started truck driving, and he is considered by many here as one of
the smoking gurus of rfc. Same with TFM: he has done some award
winning bbq, from what I remember, and he uses a Weber Bullet. He
helped me turn out my first wonderful smoked pork butt.

Others gave me good advice as well...when I first started
contemplating a smoker, and when I first used it. I forget all the
names of everyone.....You all know who you are...LOL.
