Default The Year of Eating Dangerously (Laos)

Read this yesterday. Tom Parker Bowles is a compleat ass, and worse,
a very bad writer - aren't there editors in the UK? I see why I
couldn't get through it the first try.

But, he makes we want to go to Laos. Live shrimp salad. Water beetle
dip.

Found a review of a Lao/Thai resto nearby. Probably no bugs or live
stuff on the menu here in the midwest US 'burbs, but maybe I'll give
it a shot. Keeping my eyes open for a cheap copy of Ant Egg Soup,
Natcha Du Pont De Bie, but what a scary author name.

Don't have to go to Laos for that. I can buy several
types of live shrimp at local Asian food stores.
Turtles, too.
