No, for a start I don't fondle children, and then proceed to buy them off. And I would never name any of my children Prince Michael 2nd 'blanket' Jackson or dangle any of them over a balcony. He should never have had children. |

I'm glad I bought the 'Thriller' album when it came out on DVD... I remember when he first made the video for HBO in 1982. Amazing. I won't remember him for being a freak, I'll remember him for his music and performance skills. RIP. Jill |

I don't think he deserved all that bad press. He needed a good house mother (nanny) to tell him when he was about to cross the line of what middle americans call common decency. It was obvious he couldn't tell when what he did would get him into trouble with people who have dirty minds. I think there are several boys with (scheming b*tch) mothers who thought their sons (cough, children) could net them a lot of money. -- I love cooking with wine. Remember the woman who killed her kids by driving her car into a lake and letting them drown? She wasn't evaluated as insane. You have to REALLY be messed up in the head to be legally insane. There's a world of difference between "insane" and "socially unacceptable." For example, cybercat has no maternal instinct, and would have readily let children stay with Jackson: cybercat is not insane, just socially unacceptable. Bob |

Can you honestly tell me that if there was a man in your neighbourhood who had little boys sleep over and slept in the same bed with him that you wouldn't be outraged? For some reason, his celebrity and eccentricities led some people to think that it was strange but acceptable. Anyone else would have been thrown in jail and would have to be kept in protective custody. > I think there are several boys with (scheming b*tch) mothers who > thought their sons (cough, children) could net them a lot of money. That may or may not be the case, but the fact remains that he did share beds with young boys and that is just too weird for me to handle. Other celebrities have suffered a lot more for a lot less. |

That mother didn't qualify as criminally insane because she made up a story IIRC about a black man jacking and driving it into the water, so she obviously knew what she did was wrong. Jackson was such a strange bird that maybe he really did think that he was just another one of the children, though he apparently did pay millions to avoid prosecution. |

Michael Jackson was an enigma to most of us, he was black/white, masculine/feminine, old/young. Was he guilty or innocent of molesting children? We have no way of knowing. He was acquitted in court, but he was not found innocent. O.J. Simpson was also acquitted in the state of California, although most of us suspected he was guilty. He was a talented man who was shrouded in mystery. He was popular when I was a child, so I "grew up" with Michael Jackson. It will be interesting to discover the cause of death. It could have been natural causes, but I fear it was an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. That is happening way too often. At one time, people were dying from illegal drugs, but that has changed. Prescription medication is cheap and too easy to obtain. Becca |
