I once had a delicious pizza with pesto sauce on it. It had feta and sun-dried
tomatoes on top.

There's always "white pizza," which is kind of sauce-less.

Pesto
Spicy Thai Sauce
Ranch Dressing

or no sauce at all. Just cheese and whatever toppings rock your world.

Sour cream with dillweed stirred in. On top of fresh sliced roma
tomatoes.

There's a pizza place near a friend's house that makes a delicious
barbecued chicken pizza. The pizza hs no tomato sauce on it, but it
does have a delicious barbecue sauce lightly applied to the crust.
The pizza includes mozzarella cheese, very thinly sliced red onions,
chunks of chicken, some chopped green olives, and pieces of bacon.
That pizza is fantastic and it is the only kind I will eat that
does not have tomato sauce on it.

Of course, there's the ever popular white pizza which uses a
bechamel sauce instead of tomato sauce, or it just includes lots
of cheese, but no sauce at all. The idea seems kind of strange
to me so I have never tried a white pizza before.

The funny thing about this...it's not a joke! at least until recently i
think. The feds have rules and regs about what has to go into making a
frozen pizza for it be allowed to be called "pizza' and one of the rules is
tomato sauce! if you can believe that.

California Pizza Kitchen has several frozen pizzas with no tomato sauce.
