It's sweetened, shredded desiccated coconut. In recent years I have not
found it in cans, but in plastic bags. The quantity, 5-1/3 ounces is roughly
equivalent to 2 cups, although I generally weight it on a scale. The bags
generally contain more than you need.

Remember Marty Stouffer and his _Wild America_ teevee show about animals and
such? He was one of *those* Stouffers...the family dough bankrolled his
show.
