The Bay Shore plant would be too expensive to upgrade. But I have an Enteman's 'day old' store 3 blocks from home. Maybe I should send you some? |

Had lunch at the Club as well since we were attending a seminar the spaghetti/sauce, garlic bread, very soggy courgettes/zucchini, fruited red gelatine and a tiny carton of milk. Very school-lunch like LOL. *The Club is our local multigenerational centre, run by the city's department of senior affairs. Meals are served there for little or no money and they do meet minimal USDA nutrition standards. Place includes a small fitness centre, gymnasium, recreation room with billiard and table tennis tables and meeting rooms for crafts etc. Recent addition is a tiny 'water park' for the children; just a variety of sprays and things that dump water on the unsuspecting ![]() (like public pool water). Fun in the sun for 0.50 per kiddo, but the parents must be members of the Club which costs a whopping USD13.00 per year. |

Entenmann's products are not nearly so good anymore... last time I tried a box of of their devils food donuts I tossed them out for the critters. |

Jean, I posted that as a joke. If I were really hungry, I'm sure that I'd willingly eat Spaghettios, but the idea of the Food Snob doing such a taste comparison is silly. I had hoped that Blake or Cybercat would go after me, but no such luck. I had read about such a comparison elsewhere on the net, and some guy had seemingly sincerely showed a real respect for "The Chef," meaning Boyardee. Canned pasta can't be good, but if I had to choose it'd be Chef Boyardee, but only because Franco American is SO awful. I've admitted that I eat at McDonald's. That's probably my worst food slumming. > > -- > Jean B. --Bryan |
