Well, I have said before that one thing I really liked doing
before I had my daughter was making a large vat of something and
living on it. Then I'd make it again with tweaks until I got it
just right. Can't inflict that on others though.

Alas, Enteman's is moving to Pennsylvania. The Bay Shore plant would be too
expensive to upgrade.
But I have an Enteman's 'day old' store 3 blocks from home.
Maybe I should send you some?

We dined at the Club* this morning I had the breakfast burrito, the
Maternal Unit had pancakes and bacon. Had lunch at the Club as well
since we were attending a seminar the spaghetti/sauce, garlic bread,
very soggy courgettes/zucchini, fruited red gelatine and a tiny carton
of milk. Very school-lunch like LOL.

*The Club is our local multigenerational centre, run by the city's
department of senior affairs. Meals are served there for little or no
money and they do meet minimal USDA nutrition standards. Place includes
a small fitness centre, gymnasium, recreation room with billiard and
table tennis tables and meeting rooms for crafts etc. Recent addition is
a tiny 'water park' for the children; just a variety of sprays and
things that dump water on the unsuspecting All the water is recycled
(like public pool water). Fun in the sun for 0.50 per kiddo, but the
parents must be members of the Club which costs a whopping USD13.00 per
year.

Yup, all kinds of good stuff has moved off Lung Guyland, including me.
Entenmann's products are not nearly so good anymore... last time I tried a
box of of their devils food donuts I tossed them out for the critters.

Jean, I posted that as a joke. If I were really hungry, I'm sure that
I'd willingly eat Spaghettios, but the idea of the Food Snob doing
such a taste comparison is silly. I had hoped that Blake or Cybercat
would go after me, but no such luck. I had read about such a
comparison elsewhere on the net, and some guy had seemingly sincerely
showed a real respect for "The Chef," meaning Boyardee.
Canned pasta can't be good, but if I had to choose it'd be Chef
Boyardee, but only because Franco American is SO awful.

I've admitted that I eat at McDonald's. That's probably my worst food
slumming.

Ya, I know a few others here who say they do that too. I think I just
bore to easily.

I'm sure we all have our likes and dislikes--in this and other
regards.

Yep. That's for sure. Watching who responds to who in this group is
evidence it's true.

I don't find it necessary to be nasty to people, whether or not
others like them.
