1. Sandra Lee lets random *** men feel her up. It’s true. Just ask Jeffrey Fegenheimer. He met Sandra Lee at a party, complimented her breasts, asked if he could touch them, and she said “sure!” They’ve been best buds ever since. 2. Sandra Lee’s younger brother is ***. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that!” John Paul Christiansen (”Johnny”) moved to Los Angeles to live with big sis Sandra Lee when he was 18. He told her he was ***, and she replied, “Of course you are! Everybody knows that!” 3. Sandra Lee credits her *** brother for her “thoughtful sensitivity” and her “openness and accepting quality.” Luckily for Johnny, she DOESN’T credit him for her Kwanzaa cake. Seriously though, we’re not sure exactly which “accepting quality” she’s referring to, other than her willingness to accept a cocktail at 8 AM. 4. Sandra Lee’s mentor is Florence Henderson. Why am I not surprised that Sandra Lee idolizes a TV mother who dumped off child rearing duties and all cooking responsibilities on an overworked maid? 5. In the early 90s, Sandra Lee created a product called “Kurtain Kraft.” It’s basically a gigantic wire rack with bits of fabric stuck to it in order to create the appearance of decorative drapery. She paid $50,000 to film the infomercial, and to hire mentor Florence Henderson as the product spokesperson. The good news? Kurtain Kraft is now available for $2.84 on Amazon! 6. Sandra Lee hates people who criticize her and her shows. According to Sandra, by making fun of her, “you are taking a shot at every woman in America who is just trying to get it done.” Thanks, but don’t speak for me, Sandy. I’m a woman getting it done, without pre-chopped onions or Cool Whip’s 1-800 number on my speed dial. 7. The first episode of Semi-Homemade was about candy. Seriously! Sandra Lee wrapped marshmallows in fondant, and called the creation “thoughtful and healthful.” Thoughtful and healthful? For who? Willy Wonka? 8. Sandra Lee is a Semi-Homemade mother. Sandra’s new boyfriend, Andrew Cuomo, has 3 daughters. In last month’s Redbook interview, Sandra said, “I have three kids that are my sweetie daughters — and we don’t say “stepmom,” we say “weekend daughter.” WEEKEND DAUGHTER? That’s terrible. “Sorry, it’s Wednesday! You’re not my daughter today! Come back on Saturday!” She calls them “weekend daughters” - but what do they call her? Steplush? |

I think Mrs. Brady stayed at home (though likely there would have been an episode or two where she got a job or volunteered or something, because the script wanted to go there), but didn't do the cleaning or cooking. SWMBO knew a woman co-worker, one Betty Crocker. No kidding, this is real. BC was a TeaSipper, aka a UTex alum, who, when she attended UT - Austin, was assigned a roomie named (wait for it!) Sarah Lee. Amazing what those people in student housing can come up with. But then, UT-A is a BIG university. They weren't settled in a week, when they got a call from a male UT student who claimed they just *had* to meet. The girls finally went along with it, and they met (No kidding) student Duncan Hines. They all became friends and, as I heard it, drinking buddies. Nobody can make up stuff like this. It's too ridiculous to pass muster. Yet life makes fools of us all, and such stories can be passed on to the grandkids. Alex Alex |

I was reading a biography of Jack Kerouac a few weeks ago, a thirty year old book that I finally read, and in his last days not only did he spend a lot of time drinking (not a new story) but he spent a lot of time watching tv (not new either), but the book did specifically mentiong "The Galloping Gourmet". RIght there on the day he started hemorraging, which caused his death some hours later. Michael |

She also seems to turn into Julia Child when she says the word
couscous. Her voice just fluctuated up several octives. I wonder if I will go to hell for even mentioning Julia Child in the same sentence with Sandra. Sam |
