Is there such a thing as a good digital timer that lasts more than 6-9
months? We are so sick of buying these things and tossing them in the
trash. Features are less important than something of better than
average quality.

Simple is best. The more "feature", the more things that can go wrong
with it.

Maybe you're paying too much money?
I don't think I've ever actually bought a
digital timer. I usually get them free from
someplace. Like free with a trial subscription
to a cooking mag. Anyway, the last one I had
I used for well over 10 years. Had to get a new
battery once. It just died a couple of years ago.
But I got another free one and that one has been
going strong for several years. I can't imagine
what's going wrong with yours - dropping it? You
do realize they run on batteries, right. ;-) But
the battery should be good for years. It's a
puzzlement.

That's the #1 way to kill a digital timer! BTDT

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.
