Actually, due to time consumption, this little dude is quite time
efficient for two servings, but I still want one of those lodges and am
willing to pay for one.

How large is yours? I ran out of time today (spent a good part of the
morning at the Chiro's office, then had to go to the surgeons office to
get the stitches removed from my scalp, so did not get home until nearly
noon) so will try again tomorrow. ;-)

Anyone know how to stop a Bluetooth wireless mouse from burping? All of a
sudden the left side started to double click but not all the time, only
sporadically. I checked the settings, like where one can make the left side
swap with the right side, but nothing has changed. Maybe one of my cats has
attacked the mouse and punctured its jugular.

I was wrong. 10" is what the seller on ebay said. I think she measured
it with the handles extended. It's only 6" across. Sorry.

Quite a difference. ;-)

Check ebay. Use the search "Japanese Hibachi". There are several. :-)

And like I said, I was wrong and need to re-calibrate my ability to
measure by glance. <g> The seller on ebay said it was 10" but failed to
mention that that included the grid handles.

It's only 6" across. just the right size for a hamburger patty.

Why would I do that? I didn't suggest you should not post, I simply
thought it laughable that you should criticize someone else's postings
for lacking content. You post whatever tickles your fancy, and I'll
continue to skip most of them when I'm looking for food and cooking
talk. -aem

It IS small--reminds me of the tabletop grills Chinese restaurants used
to present with a pupu platter for "grilling" (i.e.reheating) the food
with something nasty-tasting like Sterno.

We received one of those cast iron double hibachis (~10x20 inches?) as a
wedding gift int he 60s and enjoyed it while it lasted. Eventually it
became too small for our use and I got tired of lighting it and going
out 20 minute slater expecting to see hot coals only to discover it
never lit. We've been a gas grille family ever since.

I've never used Sterno. Sterno stoves are popular for backpacking.
Does it flavor the food that badly?

If not, that'd be a consideration for this toy. :-)

I've learned to light it from the baffle with a little paper under the
tinder...
