i am looking for a recipe for old fashion bread pudding made with
toasted bread. any one have one?

Pouding au pain a l'Anglaise - Bread and butter pudding could be made
with toasted bread.

"Spread small thin slices of bread with butter and sprinkle with
currants and raisins which have been previously soaked in warm water to
swell them, then well drained.

Arrange these overlapping in a pie dish, cover with a creme renversee
mixture and cook au bain marie in the oven."

THe French version uses bread crumbs and the Scotch bread pudding a
l'Ecossaise adds sliced fruit in season and is served with a raspberry
flavored red currant sauce.

Me mum used to toast & butter raisin bread and serve it to me with a bit
of cream in a bowl with a spoon.
