My vote is that it means nothing. "I bought that book after seeing the
movie, but, *sh**, I haven't got that kind of time! I've got better
things to do than stand over a hot stove after a full day of work. "

Until some of them discover that it takes about as long to cook simple
meals as it does to wait in line at the fast food joints. :-)

My average kitchen time for most (from scratch) meals is 20 minutes.

I can spend longer, but rarely do.
