At Costco, I get four pounds for $6.50. Because of this, I *hate* it
when we run out and have to pay $2.50 a pound at the grocery store. I'm
so spoiled.

$1.58/lb at CostCo regular price, salted or unsalted. It fluctuates
by a few cents here and there. In 4, 1 lb packages (each containing
4 sticks).

Now that dairy prices have tumbled, butter has gone from being a sometime
treat to an everyday staple...

Heck, remember when milk was like five - six bux per gallon, now I see it as
low as $1.49 at places like Aldi...

No kidding!?! Good stuff, is it? Well I'll be.... Still, anytime I go
to Costco it's hard to get outta there without having dropped major
dosh, I only spent 10 bucks at the 99c store :-) They also had
eggplants 2 for a buck, and they are *lovely*. We're eatin' good tonight.

You paid more than 99¢ for something at a 99 Cent store? They need to
change their name to 99¢ Plus.

Over a year? Poor little you! It's been a lot longer for me.
Lobster is *not* that cheap here.

I thought that you thought that you lived in HEAVEN. Everything was "more
bettah" in your little world, but now the truth is coming out, huh?

Only you say that. My world is no better than yours, unless you're
one of the great unwashed who actually believe what Hollywood (and
ChrisD) says.

BJ's has been in the $1.55 range for the past six months or so. You do have
to buy 4 pounds though, but that is not a biggie in my house. The
supermarket has been in the $4 range, OUCH for that.

We got the same eggplant deal at our 99c store recently, so I know what
you mean. They also had five pounds of beautiful white potatoes for
99c. It was great.

(I don't shop there often, but my mom was in town, and she LOVES the
bargain stores. Loves 'em.)

Yeah. Four pounds for about $6.50. That's what I said. :-)

I don't make chicken very often, but when I do, I usually buy the
no-salt-added thighs at Costco. They come packaged in a way that's
convenient for me, and my family likes the thighs the best. (I think
it's usually a little over a dollar a pound, but don't quote me on that.)
