Because of this, I *hate* it when we run out and have to pay $2.50 a pound at the grocery store. I'm so spoiled. Serene -- 42 Magazine, celebrating life with meaning. Now that dairy prices have tumbled, butter has gone from being a sometime treat to an everyday staple... Heck, remember when milk was like five - six bux per gallon, now I see it as low as $1.49 at places like Aldi... -- Best Greg |

The supermarket has been in the $4 range, OUCH for that. |

We're eatin' good tonight. We got the same eggplant deal at our 99c store recently, so I know what you mean. They also had five pounds of beautiful white potatoes for 99c. It was great. (I don't shop there often, but my mom was in town, and she LOVES the bargain stores. Loves 'em.) Serene -- 42 Magazine, celebrating life with meaning. I don't make chicken very often, but when I do, I usually buy the no-salt-added thighs at Costco. They come packaged in a way that's convenient for me, and my family likes the thighs the best. (I think it's usually a little over a dollar a pound, but don't quote me on that.) Serene -- 42 Magazine, celebrating life with meaning.
