Today was the Seattle Danskin Triathlon, the biggest estrogen-fueled
athletic event on the planet. This was my second year to complete the whole thing. I set a modest goal of bettering my swim time, which I did--barely. The SO didn't go with me this year (early mornings are not his thing), but he got some goodies for my post-race lunch. We have been devotees of a place in Pike Place Market called the I Love NY Deli. The owner, a nice boy from Brooklyn, had been trying to find someplace larger to sell his wares. This month he opened a branch in the University District. So Julian picked up some bagels, whitefish salad, and knishes for lunch. It hit the spot, and replenished my carbohydrate stores. Cindy -- C.J. Fuller Delete the obvious to email me |
